Responsibilities + Tasks
Assist in food prep.
Execute menu items with consistency and efficiency.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation.
Monitor ingredient inventory levels.
Adhere to hygiene and safety standards.
Ensure quality and consistency in food prep.
Support catering and culinary productions.
Our Ideal Candidate
2+ years of proven kitchen experience.
Possess basic culinary skills and is eager to learn.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Pay attention to detail in food preparation.
Work well in a team environment.
Efficient task completion during busy periods.
Demonstrate initiative and support the team.
Show enthusiasm and passion for food and cooking.
Available to work on weekends.

About Fonda
Fonda is a café and bar at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. Fonda presents two distinct locations within the museum where visitors may pause and relax while staying connected to the museum’s creative energy.
Fonda Bar is open to the public in the museum's entrance hall. The bar’s menu features daily baked goods made in-house, La Cabra coffee, Japanese teas, and refreshing soft drinks. Fonda Café, located on the first floor, is exclusively for museum ticket holders. The café’s menu celebrates homestyle cooking with a refined twist. The simple, comforting dishes are made with seasonal ingredients and surprising elegant elements.
Fonda comes from the same team behind Oficina, a canteen and food design studio based in Amsterdam. The team combines a love for food with thoughtful design to create spaces where community and quality are at the forefront.
